In 2004 while searching for treasures on Seoul’s Insadong Road, I acquired a bundle of two-dozen very old and worn hand written manuscripts. These texts written in Chinese seem almost too precious to mess with. Nevertheless, I’ve taken some of the least of them—one a Ming Dynasty text for children about the heavens, Earth, and the seasons, and responded to it with my poems and images.
